In case of inclement weather, students should listen to their local radio station for school closings.
Please do not call the school.
The school closing will be announced as Monmouth County Vocational Schools, not Communications High School.
Emergency school closing decisions will be made by 5:30 AM.
Delayed opening announcements will be aired as early as
possible on the stations and web site listed below:

The delayed opening plan will be as follows:
Shared Time: all AM classes will be cancelled.
PM sessions will run as scheduled.
Full Time: Students will report at 9:00 AM.
Should weather conditions deteriorate after a delayed opening has been announced, the Superintendent may elect to close school for the day. The decision will be made no later than 7:00 AM and announced through the designated stations and web site.
• Field trips will be cancelled
• Decisions related to cancellation of after school events will be made by the Principal by 2:00 PM
• Lunches, where available, will be served at the usual time
• Dismissal will be at the usual time.
