Why am I qualified to inform you about a forigen country? Technically, I'm not certified but I've been to Croatia four times in the past six years. So I have an idea of what I'm talking about.

So sit back, hold on, and keep all hands on the mouse, and prepare to be amazed!.... Not really.

What, Where, and Why?

Croatia is a small European country located on the coast of the Adriatic Sea. If you are on of those geographical people, the country is located just south of Slovenia (big help I know) and just west of Serbia. Croatia is an untapped paradise with a ton of vacation potential. Between its luxurious Dalmation Coast, and rolling hilled country side; it manages to keep its old world charm.

History

Croatia was once part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire up until WWI. Then Croatia was infused with several other countries to create the kingdom known as Yugoslavia in 1929. After WWII, Yugoslavia became a federal communist state under the USSR. In 1991, Croatia declared its independence, but it took four years of speradic, bitter fighting to push Serb armies out of the country.
