European isn't it? Dubrovnik is one of the oldest cities in Croatia (Founded in the 7th century). It houses its own castle which has seen plenty of warfare. The city is literally right on the coast (Waves crash up against the castle's walls). The old city has a great variety of things to see and do.
Wow
The first thing to do when you arrive (Still in Dubrovnik) is to walk on the Dubrovnik Castle's walls. You feel like a real medieval knight defending the city. (Hint: While on the wall, look for bullet holes from the war) Next thing you should do, is to take a boat trip to one of the islands. Most islands are less than an hour away from the city, and many have awesome resturants. Last but not lease, go swimming; your on the Adriatic Sea (The water's great!).
