Travel Tips & Links

Here are some important things to keep in mind while visiting:

-Don't ask about the Communist occupation and the war. Trust me, touchy subject.

-Don't be loud or abnoxious; Croatians like the peace and quiet.

-Don't litter, please!

The City Itself

Zagreb is the capitol city of Croatia (If you couldn't guess). Zagreb is the largest Croatian city, but it is relatively small with a population of just 300,000. The overall population is 4.5 million, which mean nearly three times as many people are in NYC on any given day. The city offers old world archietecture with modern add-ons. Many of the streets in Zagrab are made of cobblestone (Caution: Slippery when wet).

What to Do

Like any major city, Zagreb offers an array of fun activities. First thing you should do is check out the zoo. Its full of animals from all around the world (Captain obvious). Next, visit The Zagreb Cathedral which is one of the greatest archetictual feat southeast of the Alps. Then visit St. Mark's Church and Square where art and people collide. Keep in mind that Zagreb houses some great parks as well.
